Title: Living Donors on Facebook
Post by: bergstromtori on October 17, 2011, 05:12:25 PM
So I found all of you on Facebook which I think is much easier to use.  So I am sort of ditching this site for FB.  I will check back in from time to time, because I would HATE to miss anything.

Everybody's different, to each their own.  Enjoy the FB pages, but do stop back here, or you will miss a lot!

You request to join the group, and then wait to be approved. Once approved, you'll be able to write messages and post pictures. Thanks for joining us on Facebook!

It's a closed group, so no one not in the group should be able to see your posts. I'm not sure if this automatically means your friends or the world can't see you're a member of the group, but your profile settings should be customizable to restrict who can see what groups you're part of. If you figure this out definitively, please post your path to success. Thanks!

I just tried to look at the FB page and got this: "Sorry, this content isn't available right now. The link you followed may have expired, or the page may only be visible to an audience you're not in."

How do I get in? I just this minute registered on this web site.

There are two groups with similar objectives on FaceBook. One is ¨Living Donors on Line¨, and the other is ¨Living Kidney Donors¨ (which excludes liver, lung, etc. donors). They often overlap, as some donors post on both pages. I've been on them a while, so don't understand why you are having difficulties. There is also a FaceBook page for "Kidney Donors With Complications". All I can suggest is that you keep trying. I'm not much good at computers myself.
