In Desperate Need Of Kidney Donor With Type A or O Blood

My dear friend Michelle is battling kidney failure as a result of a very rare, autoimmune disease called Wegener's granulomatosis. She is 30 years old, has been on dialysis since January 2012 and has just been given the go ahead for a transplant. Because of my age and health history, I am likely not a good match for her. I am reaching out on her behalf to anyone who is willing to be tested and donate a kidney.  She is a beautiful, loving and kind soul who has had all willing family members and numerous friends be denied as donors. There are no words that can express what this gift of life would mean to her, her family and all of us! Having her here to continue to share life’s joys and to do everything in her power to give back and spread the word, fund raise and build awareness as to the dire need of all suffering from kidney disease.

     Although kidney "swaps" are sometimes arragnged when a potential donor is incompatible with the recipient, it might be helpful to find out exactly which blood types would be compatible to donate to Michelle. It sometimes happens that a reader responds more readily when she/he sees right off the bat that their blood type is compatible. Likewise it may be helpful to mention the city she lives in. Again, while donated kidneys can be safely transported long distances sometimes a reader reacts more readily to a need that is nearby.
