Title: Official date: April 24th

It's finally official.  I will be donating my kidney to my Dad.  We go next week for our final testing.  We've been delayed so many times, it seems surreal at this point.  But, I'm totally ready and Dad is counting down his last dialysis treatments.  Can't wait to be on the other side of this adventure.

I can't tell you how much I have appreciated this board.  I met so many wonderful people who have answered all my questions honestly.

Prayers for you both!  I donated to my father a year ago.  Sometimes I call him "Kidney" now instead of "Daddy"...

Yes, it has been a long and interesting journey.  I'm a little scared, but I can't wait to see how it all turns out.

Congratulations! That is the same date that I am scheduled to donate a Kidney to my friend  :)

Congratulations! I know how stressful the testing process can be. It is an incredible thing that you are doing for your dad. Best of luck to both of you :)

Best wishes... Surreal is exactly how I would have described the days just before surgery. All the preparation and waiting, it's hard to believe it when the actual event arrives. Keep in touch.
