One year ago today, June 7, I donated my kidney to a friend.  I had some setbacks the day after the surgery and had to spend some extra time in the hospital.  One year later, I have no probelms and my friend is doing well.  It was a successful transplant.

I used to be on here more often, couldn't get on for a while, and just checked back on today for the first time in a while.

June 22nd for me. Donated my left kidney one year ago to my husband.  We are both doing well.

My surgery is set for June 21st, so I will see this group in a year!

Lots of good luck to you. I donated my kidney on May 25, 2011 to my sister .  Much anticipation before the event. When I woke from the surgery I felt awsome! When I saw my sister coming into recovery approx. hour after me, and saw her smile, with thumbs up, I can tell u other than my sons being born it was the best day of my live. God Bless u and Keep u safe.
