Donate Life America Launches New National Web Site:

Every American Encouraged to Register as an Organ, Eye and Tissue Donor

Richmond, VA (April 11, 2011) - In celebration of National Donate Life Month, Donate Life America (DLA) launches a new national Web site,www.donatelife.net, focusing on providing quick and easy access to state donor registries. The site features a new interactive map of the United Statesthat links directly to state donor registration pages.

"The overt call to action on every page of the site is to register as a committed donor and provide hope to the over 110,000 people waiting for a lifesaving organ transplant and the thousands more that are waiting for the gift of sight or a needed tissue transplant," said David Fleming, President and CEO of Donate Life America.

The Web site also features stories of hope as expressed through the voices of organ, eye and tissue recipients and donor families that have been touched by the cause. Site visitors can also learn facts about donation and gain insight and useful ideas on how they can join in DLA's work to increase the number of Americans registering as committed donors. The site also provides convenient links to DLA's Facebook page, news articles and the organization's online store where Donate Life branded merchandise and gear is available.

For the first time, supporters of donation and transplantation are also offered the opportunity to join as a Donate Life Partner via the Web site. Individuals who make a financial contribution may choose to be recognized as a Donate Life Partner and have their name included on the site's partner recognition page.
