My recipient is in the hospital due to non-kidney related illness. I went to see him at lunchtime, yesterday, fortunately the hospital is only a couple blocks from my office. His nephrologist arrived shortly after I did. I was introduced as the donor. The doctor just raved about how wonderful a job the kidney was doing. He said that the creatinine levels are 1.1. Which, due to the gender & size mismatch, they would expect it to be 1.5. So, its doing better than expected! That was wonderful to hear!!

Congratulations!
What wonderful news.
Continued success to both of you, and to your kidneys.
