Title: 3 year update
Post by: brookeallison on April 27, 2011, 09:54:58 AM
i went for my 3 year check-up on the 18th...creatinine is .98 and gfr is 67...no protein and all of my levels are great. my cousin is doing well also...he had some rejection a couple of times before so his creatinine is around 2, but they're ok with that as long as it doesn't get any higher.

Good news!

Is your annual update something you do on your own, or were you instructed by a physician or the transplant center? Do you request anything special for the exam?

Hi Brooke,

Nice to hear that those of us who donated around the same time (3 years ago) are doing well. Hope your cousin continues to make some good progress. Hard to believe it has been 3 plus years already.

Brooke,

Thank you so much for the update. I am so happy to hear you are doing so well and your Cousin is stable. I really appreciate hearing how other donors and their recipients are doing.

michael...i donated at the va in nashville, which contracted with vanderbilt. the va has me come up annually to have the check-up so they can keep track and report to unos. i'm so glad that they do that.
