I began the testing process about a year ago. At one point I thought that I was not going to be approved to donate, but then that turned around.  Surgery was originally scheduled for February 19, then rescheduled to March 26, then delayed again.  Now, we are scheduled for May 7. Actually made it to the pre-op appointments this time.  Looks like my recipient will finally get his new kidney on May 7.

				Congratulations!
One piece of advice... I wish I would have had the guts to stop all my pain meds much earlier than I did.  I stopped after 10 days.  Even though it hurt much more, I felt much better in other ways once I finally stopped.
Looking forward to hearing your success story!
