Living liver donor policy requirements webinar

Register now for “The Living Liver Donor: New OPTN Policy Requirements for Follow-up Data Reporting” webinar, to be held on Aug 28, 2014 2:00 p.m. (EDT). The webinar is designed to help living liver donor recovery hospitals understand and demonstrate how to successfully submit follow-up data to comply with new reporting requirements.
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email with information about joining the webinar.
Summary and Background
Newly modified living liver donor follow-up requirements align closely with the living kidney donor requirements approved in November 2012. A Joint Society Work Group (composed of representatives from AST, ASTS, NATCO, and Living Donor Committee along with consultants) recommended the living liver donor minimum reporting requirements contained in the recently approved policy modifications.
Living donor follow-up forms were first instituted in 1999. In 2005, the OPTN required living donor transplant programs submit living donor follow-up forms on their donors, but did not set specific requirements for what data needed to be completed on the form. This practice changed February 1, 2013 when new policy requirements were implemented that define specific thresholds for data submission and completeness.
