LIVING DONORS ONLINE REGISTRATION AGREEMENT AND ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY

The following policies and guidelines apply to all users of this message board. They are intended to foster and maintain an open forum for discussion, supportive of and educational for current and potential living organ and bone marrow donors.

You agree, through your use of this message board, that you will not post any material that is false, defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise in violation of any International or United States Federal law. Personal attacks, offensive or harmful language, and libelous or otherwise unlawful statements are prohibited. Suggestive, coercive, or conspiratorial statements to commit violations of law are prohibited.

You also agree not to post any copyrighted material unless you own the copyright, you have written consent from the owner of the copyrighted material, or the posting is in accordance with the "fair use" doctrine.

Spam, flooding, chain letters, pyramid schemes, and financial solicitations are forbidden. Commercial advertising, including links to commercial sites, is not permitted.

Postings should be relevant to living donation or clearly of interest to living donors. "Off topic" postings will be deleted without prior notice.

We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any information presented. The posted messages express the views of the author and not necessarily the views of this message board, its administrators, or the message board owner. Anyone who feels that a posted message is a violation of this agreement is encouraged to notify an administrator or moderator immediately. Violating content will be removed as soon as practicable.

You remain solely responsible for the content of your posted messages. Furthermore, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless the owner of this message board and its administrators and moderators. The owner of this message board reserves the right to reveal your identity and any other related information collected on this message board in the event of a formal complaint or legal action arising from any situation caused by your use of this message board.

You have the ability, as you register, to choose your username. We advise that you keep the name appropriate. With this user account, you agree never to give your password to another person, except an administrator. You also agree to NEVER use another person's account for any reason.  We recommend you use a complex and unique password for your account to prevent account theft.

After you register and log in to this message board, you may fill out a detailed profile. This agreement also applies to member profile information. It is your responsibility to provide appropriate and accurate information. Any information the administrators deem to be inappropriate or inaccurate will be removed without prior notice. Additional sanctions, including banning and account deletion, may be applied.

The general discussion forums are not private. They can be found by web searches. Information you post in messages, replies, and your member profile may become publicly readable information. Be careful when disclosing personal information.

Please note that your IP address is recorded with each post. Your IP address is used only in the event of a violation of this agreement--to ban your account or to share with your ISP. Also, the message board software places a cookie (a text file containing bits of information such as your username and password) in your browser's cache. The cookie is used only to keep you logged in or out. The software does not collect from or send to your computer any other form of data.

Living Donors Online does not provide medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice. Please read the legal statements regarding disclaimers and disclosures. https://livingdonorsonline.org/legal.htm

The site administrator reserves the right to change the terms and conditions of the registration agreement and acceptable use policy without prior notice. It is your responsibility to regularly review the terms, a current version of which is posted in the "Using the Message Board" forum.
