Majority of potential liver donors to Eugene Melnyk not interested in donating to someone else


Only 26 of more than 500 Canadians who answered Eugene Melnyk’s plea for a live liver donation said they would donate to someone other than the owner of the Ottawa Senators hockey team.

[/size][/color]Toronto’s University Health Network, where Melnyk is in intensive care after an eight-hour transplant Tuesday, said 12 of the 500 qualified as potential candidates for Melnyk and 26 said they would “be happy to be considered in the future for another person who may need a liver transplant.”[/color]...[/color]
Unrelated directed kidney donor in 2003, recipient and I both well.
