Just got a note from the author of this book saying LDO is mentioned. I was wondering if anyone has read the book yet.

Michael,

I have read the book.  LDO is listed in the "Appendix: Living Donor Resources," p. 165, as 1 of 18 websites, titled "International Assoc. of Living Organ Donors" (with LDO's webpage address).

LDO is mentioned as well in the text, p. 128, first page of Chapter 25, "Complications."  The book suggested that potential donors get the latest info about potential complications with the organ donation they want to do; resources with that info include UNOS and the transplant center.  "Another mechanism is the International Association of Living Donors [sic], which offers a free service of online donor mentors called Living Donor Buddies (TM)" [with reference to the LDO homepage webaddress].

It is a good book.
