Gift of Life
It was just over a year-and-a-half ago that Tori Bergstrom donated a kidney to John Maw, saving his life.
The two were friends in college, and became friends again on Facebook several years later. When John suddenly became very ill, Tori knew she wanted to help. She "went behind John's back", as she puts it, to get tested to see if she was a match.. and she was!
Long story short... she donated her kidney and John's life was saved.
Now, they are both strong and healthy and they even did a Ragnar race together.
Tori and John are going to be featured in a documentary "Social Medial Stole My Kidney".
