My sister is waiting for a kidney at this hospital. I would be very interested to hear from anyone who has experience of the live donor co-ordination team here. Thank you.

Hi

A friend of mine (who isn't on here) received a kidney from his wife at the QE hospital in around 2008.

If you want to PM me with an email address I can try to put you in touch with one another if that will help?

Both he and his wife are well - he's had a few post transplant complications but nothing out of the ordinary and the QE is a good hospital (I went to university in Birmingham though I now live and donated in London).

All the best
