« on: January 25, 2016, 08:37:45 PM »
Is it possible to find out who received a dear friends organs? I would just love to meet them.
He lost his life suddenly at 48.

Many hospitals/transplant organizations now offer the POSSIBILITY for the family of the deceased donor, or the recipient, to request communication if both parties are willing. It sometimes takes the form of a letter passed through the hospital. If either party declines, that's the end. Privacy is totally respected. I suspect that only the FAMILY of the deceased donor could make the request (not a friend) but you might ask the transplant coordinator at that hospital what their current policy is.
  best wishes,
    Fr. Pat
