All is well!
« on: May 12, 2015, 08:32:18 AM »
Hi! I see familiar faces and new ones, too!
I donated a kidney 5 years ago this July, to someone I didn't know. I started the midwest's first kidney chain- I did not know it at the time!
My recipient is doing well, as is the rest of the crew (as far as I know!) We did have a loss, one of our recipients sadly had a heart attack and passed away a couple of years ago. The donors I am in touch with are well also. I donated at the U of MN and had such a good experience.

My husbands aunt is in need of a kidney right now. Our cousin will be getting tested to see if she is a match or not, and hopefully others in the family will also.

Thanks to all who consider donating and to those who have!!!

Dear Nikki,
May you have many years of health and happiness!
I hope that your good example will encourage others to acts of kindness.

Love, elephant
