Today marks the 4th anniversary of Sherri's donation to her brother. I hope you all will join me in wishing her well on this day.

Sherri and I donated within a couple weeks of each other and, as I am sure many of you know first hand, she was a great source of support as my turn approached. She has been a wealth of insightful information and support to a wide variety of different donors and donors-to-be on this site. Sherri has also been able to be there, in person, to visit and talk with many donors both pre and post surgery.

Happy kidneyversary and thank you, Sherri! You have touched a lot of lives and certainly made a difference! May you have a wonderful day today!

Thank you to all my donor buddies for the good wishes. I have to say this year is the first anniversary where I have felt a little calmer. Maybe as time goes on, I am feeling less anxious. My brother did call to acknowledge the day and wish me well which was very nice. We are blessed to have a family celebration. One of my daughters is getting married in 2 weeks. My parents, siblings, nieces and nephews will all be traveling to be together at the wedding. If events did not turn out as they did, perhaps we would not all have the opportunity to share in a joyous occasion. This really is a blessing and I thank god every day that we are all able to share together.
