"The Power of Two"
« on: September 26, 2012, 01:29:17 AM »
Although it deals mainly with after-death organ donation rather than living donation, an excellent movie has just (at last) been released for sale as a DVD. It is called "The Power of Two" and is an inspiring documentary about the Stenzel twins (Isabel and Anabel) and their life-long struggle with Cystic Fibrosis. Both received lung transplants from deceased donors and are now very active internationally in promoting organ donation. I met them at the Transplant Games. The movie is very much worth seeing and sharing. It certainly stimulates more people to sign up as organ donors. Can be bought through Amazon or almost any retailer now.

I saw the movie last year and also met the Stenzel Twins who wrote the book the movie is based on. I learned a lot about cystic fibrosis and the lives they led growing up with CF. I would recommend it to anyone, it was really well done. They also have a facebook page https://www.facebook.com/ThePowerOfTwo  :)
Daughter Jenna is 31 years old and was on dialysis.
