My son offered to donate kidney to his cousin who has goodpastures...do they consider this at his age

Dear Murphy,

It is quite rare for a child to donate a kidney.   I do believe there have been some donations between identical twins.
Although living donors can be accepted at age 18, I would suggest seeking a more mature donor.  You can tell you son that sometimes a second transplant is needed at a later date, and he could offer again when he is older.

Love, elephant
