I am surprisingly calm...just occasional butterflies crop up at inopportune times!  I hop on a plane at the crack of dawn tomorrow to head to Detroit.  Final cross-match and appointments with entire transplant team on Monday.  Everything to date has been done long-distance.  I am looking forward to that part.

Thanks for all the support!

Thanks for all your well wishes and support.  Tomorrow is the day.  Only one glitch so far...my surgeon called me yesterday to tell me she broke her wrist! Now I know why we are told that "things come up" - they did some shuffling and I have a new surgeon that unfortunately I won't meet until the morning of surgery.  He was originally going to be my sisters surgeon and she really liked him..and he is the director of transplant surgery.  Feeling good...just hungry, as the liquid diet has started!

Will post soon...

GO JULIE!!!  Thinking about you...seems like that "glitch" getting you the DIRECTOR of transplant surgery, isn't that like being upgraded?

lawphi

Good luck.  Sorbet is great and filling for a liquid diet.
