Travel, lodging, etc. funds for living donors
« on: December 06, 2014, 02:13:25 PM »
The American Living Organ Donor Fund currently has more funds than applicants for assistance. We need more living organ donors to apply. Please share this information with anyone who might be interested.

We support all kinds of living donors --kidney, bone marrow, liver, intestine, lung, and pancreas donors. Here is the link for the application for financial assistance: http://www.helplivingdonorssavelives.org/wp-content/uploads/2014/11/Applying-for-Help-from-the-ALODF.pdf
We prefer donors apply before their donation but accept applications for up to two months post-surgery to help with non-medical donation related expenses.

Our website also has valuable resources for living organ donors, such as a state by state data base for various forms of assistance available, including government and private programs. Please see and refer donors and potential donors to www.ALODF.org

The American Living Organ Donor Fund is a project of the Center for Ethical Solutions, a 501(c)(3) public charity. CES has had non-profit status for six years and is a recognized GuideStar charity.
Daughter Jenna is 31 years old and was on dialysis.
7/17 She received a kidney from a living donor.

I really wish I had known about this sooner.  What a great resource!
