Exercise and Creatinine levels
« on: December 04, 2014, 11:00:03 AM »
Wonder if anyone has experience with exercising affecting Creatine kinase enzyme or creatinine levles?

My doctor told me to stop exercising  (What?????) as it may be the cause of my creatinine levels rising from 1.0 to 1.2 in the past six months. (Confession... i'm addicted to exercise its is my de-stresser). '(
anyone else come across this experience or subject?

I am an avid exerciser as well. They did tell me during the testing phase to cease exercise for 48 hours prior to the kidney function/GFR  testing so that it would not impact the readings. I have followed along with that every year when my blood tests are due so that I can have a consistent reading each year.
