http://optn.transplant.hrsa.gov/governance/strategic-plan/Living Donors were first addressed as a priority in the OPTN Strategic Plan while I was on the board. At that meeting, we four living donors then on the board made clear that increasing the number of living donors as a measure of successfully increasing the safety and long term health of living donors was unacceptable.
