Toolkit Available to Assist Programs in Sharing Donor and Recipient Information

OPO and transplant center staff who would like to encourage information sharing between transplant recipients and donor families/living donors now have a toolkit of resources to help them in these efforts.

In 2011, a task force made up of members from several organizations, including the OPTN, UNOS, OPTN/UNOS committees, the federal government (HRSA), and transplant associations (AOPO, NKF and NATCO) met to develop recommendations about sharing donor/recipient information, and to create a guidance document and a toolkit of resources.
