Good Morning,

I am two year post donation, I had labs ran last week and these are my results:

Creatinine serum : 1.17
GFS 55ML

My transplant coordinator stated that these numbers were within normal range, just wanted to get more input.
My numbers last fall for creatinine were around 1.00-1.05

Just wondering if I need to be concerned.

Thanks for your feedback!

Ashley

Dear Ashley,

That's about the number I've seen for the last five years.

Thank you Elephant, I appreciate the feedback!

I just wanted to be sure!

My creatinine is at 1.45 with a GFR of 55 after donating 4 Feb2014. I wonder if that is healthy?.

I donated a kidney over 15 years ago at Mayo Clinic. After my donation in 2001 my creatinine levels were 1.6 and I was told "this is as good as it gets" for a donor, and this was an enthusiastic statement. Since then I have had even better levels, now 1.5. This is really not bad. Ask you doctor what bad levels are and you will find out yours are great.

Your levels are in the normal range or very close.

Be sure you are well hydrated before you do the test, it may be even lower.

This past spring, when I was about 4-1/2 years post-donation, my creatinine (blood) was 1.08, and my creatinine from the 24-hour urine collection was 1.8.

  Be well, Snooopy
