Just met with my local nephrologist for the second time.  He's ok with my labs.  What I was impressed by is after we spoke last time he called my transplant center to ask why they were not following up as they should.  He told them two things.  They need folks like us to be happy with their care.  Otherwise others are discouraged from donating.  Second, a teaching hospital like they need  the data on people with one kidney.  After that, they called me and even offered an appointment if I wished.  I really like my nephrologist! 

Wow! That's wonderful! Sounds like he really cares about you and is looking out for your interests.

Wonderful! If only all nephrologists had this attitude!
