Hi guys (again),
I did my last cross match today before the surgery next Monday.
I also had to do another blood test for ALT (Alanine transaminase). My numbers are a little high, although I wasn't drinking or taking Tylenol before my last test (in fact I haven't taken Tylenol in years). Anyone shed any light on this? Hope it's not a deal breaker for my donation.

Probably best to discuss with your transplant nurse. A one time abnormal blood level is usually not indicative of anything. what they really need to do is see trends. So just to be on the safe side you may want to have it repeated before surgery.

Julian,

Saw your post on another thread.  Glad you are going to be able to donate Monday!  Will definitely be thinking of you and praying for you.  I told Kristie ("my" nurse  ;D I claim her but will gladly share) to be on the lookout for you and treat you extra good.  She said she's working Monday and would make sure you are taken care of.  Keep us posted once you feel up to it!

Thanks Jocelyn! I appreciate all of your words of support (and giving me your nurse LOL!)
:-)

Okay now, you clearly misunderstood me.  I said I'd share my nurse not give her to you!  ;D
