Encouraging update: Life-saving donation
Kim Carrigan

Last August, Mass. National Guardsman John Jennings was a guest on the FOX 25 Morning News http://www.myfoxboston.com/dpp/news/local/soldier-needs-kidney-donor-20110817 . He told FOX 25 how he had served our country for 20 years, but was diagnosed with a manageable kidney disease in the 1990s – one that was no longer manageable in August.
John needed a kidney donor and no family member was a match. John recently returned to the FOX 25 Morning News with a new kidney on board and he is doing quite well. His donor, Patrick Fitzgibbons, was also there.
Unrelated directed kidney donor in 2003, recipient and I both well.
620 time blood and platelet donor since 1976 and still giving!
Elected to the OPTN/UNOS Boards of Directors & Executive, Kidney Transplantation, and Ad Hoc Public Solicitation of Organ Donors Committees, 2005-2011
