Kidney Disease, an Underestimated Killer
« on: July 16, 2013, 09:27:54 AM »
Article from today's NY Times Science/Health Section. I would like to concentrate on reducing the number of potential recipients so we don't have to try to constantly find new ways to increase the number of living organ donors. Uncontrolled hypertension and diabetes is a huge factor in the development of kidney disease and very often these two risk factors can be controlled by patients with the help of their health provider, unlike genetic diseases.
