Donor/recipient GFR
« on: November 15, 2013, 08:19:57 AM »
I am very curious.
This question is mostly for those donors whose post-donation GFR is under 60.
How much is your creatinine/GFR and concurrently, how much is your recipient's creatinine/GFR?
Also,what was your pre-donation GFR?
(not "percentage" of kidney function, your actual creatinine/GFR).

Pre-donation creatinine:  1.11 mg/dL  (but I was as low as 1.02 on one test).

Day after surgery creatinine:  1.59 mg/dL

Nine months post-donation creatinine:  1.54 mg/dL

I'm due for my one year follow up anytime now but I haven't scheduled it yet.
Isn't GFR a calculated number based on ethnicity and age group?

Sorry, I don't know my recipient's current numbers.  I think they were somewhere
around 1.2 after surgery.

Regards,
Roger
