Living Donors were first addressed as a priority in the OPTN Strategic Plan while I was on the board. At that meeting, we four living donors then on the board made clear that increasing the number of living donors as a measure of successfully increasing the safety and long term health of living donors was unacceptable. Your feedback, especially regarding what to focus on and why regarding living donation as one of the top priorities for the OPTN is very valuable. Please feel welcome to share your comments here.
