OPTN Nominations Open Through September 30
« on: August 31, 2020, 08:52:38 AM »

Are you passionate about organ donation and transplantation? Are you looking for an opportunity to make a greater impact on the transplant community? We invite you to apply to serve as a volunteer for the OPTN and encourage you to share this information with others in your organization.

The OPTN is now seeking nominations for terms beginning July 1, 2021 on the Board of Directors and Committees.

·       Read all the details on the call for nominations

·       See the complete list of vacancies for board, committee leadership and at large positions

·       Learn about service on the Board and Committees

·       Read the five things to know about volunteering for the Board or a Committee

To apply for a Board or Committee volunteer position beginning July 1, 2021, complete the online Volunteer Interest Form no later than September 30, 2020.

UNOS recently updated the Volunteer Interest Form to be more customized to your particular experience or profession, dynamically supplying questions that are most relevant to your background or area of interest.

If you have completed and submitted a Volunteer Interest Form since October 2019, you don’t need to complete a new one, but you may update it at any time.

·       To submit a new form or update a previous submission: Register as “not a member” and create a new profile.

·       If you are updating a previously submitted form and using the same e-mail address as before: The system will synchronize with your member record to auto-populate your biographical information from previous applications.

The OPTN President-Elect appoints incoming committee members to fill open positions. Each committee with openings will review Volunteer Interest Forms and make recommendations to the OPTN President-Elect. Selections will be based on the needs of the committee and the OPTN for diversity in perspectives and subject specific expertise including patient and donor affairs representation. To learn more, visit the OPTN website.

If you have questions, please contact volunteer@unos.org.
