Whether February brings you a chill or not, celebrate with us these many memories of great acts for kindness and generosity. Daughter donors, father donors, mother donors, brother and sister donors, son and step-son donors, and donors to strangers, and that just gets us to this century!

Father Pat was such a caring voice for so long in our discussion forum. We were on the path to donation at the same time, though his surgery was a year before mine. His description of his experience was a big part of the wonderful assistance I found on LDO! Alas, one of our early public policy advocates, Rita, finally succumbed to the injuries she received during her surgery nearly four years later. I donated two months later, with Rita very much on my mind.

Also, February 14th, National Donor Day, was started in 1998 by the Saturn Corporation and its United Auto Workers partners with the support of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and many nonprofit health organizations.
