I went through all the testing and tissue typing for a reciepient and flew to JHMC at the reciepients exspense to do the final tests and they found minor plaque build up,I still wish to donate. What if anything can I do?

Karol

Hi Donald,
You can ask their transplant ream to find you a recipient, or you could kick off a chain of transplants through the National Kidney Registry. Or if you give me your blood type and location I can possibly find someone near you that might match.
Take care,
Karol

I had a reciepient and we matched beautifully but JHMC refused to let me donate because of the build up,I think there was something on JHMC's agenda and that was just a excuse.

Karol

Oh I thought you meant the recipient had plaque. Well, each transplant center has their own criteria, so you may be accepted elsewhere.
